SCOUT GETS LASERED!

23 APRIL 2011

Priscilla writes: Encouraging News!

Since my last update, Scout has experienced a set-back. His doctor & therapist are both perplexed as to why it had happened since he had been making significant progress in his recovery. We decided it was time for a second opinion . . . another 'set of eyes' to evaluate Scout.

I made an appointment for him at Canine Rehabilitation And Conditioning Group (CRCG) in Broomfield, Colorado. One of their specialties is post-op and injury. They have a certified veterinarian specializing in canine physical therapy on staff. Her name is Kristen and she saw Scout today.

Kristen spent over an hour examining Scout and evaluating his condition. She believes his extremely tightened muscles are a big part part of his problem. She is going to work at loosening them up along with my doing exercises twice a day at home with him.

Laser therapy

She also began laser therapy on him today. It is painless and works much like acupuncture. He was very curious while she was doing it. At one point when she first began, he looked up at me as if to say, 'What's she doing?'

He will be going three times per week for continued therapy at this facility with Kristen & another board-certified canine physical therapist. At the conclusion of the session today, Kristen told us she is optimistic that she can help Scout. I know there are no guarantees, but at least there is hope.

Scout receives some reassurance

Now that Scout has begun this new journey in treatment, he is going to need your positive thoughts and prayers. There are not words adequate enough to thank all of you for your continued good wishes & support

Scout sends lots of hugs & kisses to each & every one of you!

Thanks to all for your thoughts & prayers & financial help. We are most grateful.
