SCOUT & AMY
DO PHYSICAL THERAPY

4 MARCH 2011

Priscilla writes:

Scout has been recuperating nicely in his foster home with Amy Waters.
Today I met Amy with Scout for his first physical therapy session
in Alameda East Veterinary Hospital's physical therapy building.
As we were walking him up the ramp a car stopped;
it was a vet tech who had helped care for Scout while he was in the hospital.
She asked, "Is that Scout?!"
She was so happy to see him, and his tail was wagging the entire time!

After she drove away,
he seemed anxious to get started as he walked
ahead of Amy toward the entrance to the building.
Once inside, he seemed happy to see Jenny, his physical therapist, again.
Since Amy will be following up at home with the therapy Jenny did today,
she observed the session closely and I took the photos.

Following the session, Scout was a tired little pup!
I lay on the floor with him while Amy went over the notes
with Jenny for his sessions at home.

Once they were finished, we told him it was time to go.
About that time, one of his caregivers from the ICU happened
to walk by and came into the PT room to say hi and visit with
him for a few minutes. Scout loves company!

As we were walking down the corridor to leave,
Scout spotted a little Westie through a glass panel
and did an abrupt stop to turn and say, "Hi"!
