OH GOOD - FRONT BEACH!
Hugh writes: MORNING REPORT
It is with great pleasure that I relate the details of this morning's
One-Hundred-and-Twenty-minute "Out" with Ms. Thistle.
Two environments:
No Distractions:
The Field at Old Garden Beach
Only her second time with the twenty-foot lunge line.
She did not toy with the line and,
for the most part, got the point of the drill.
Today we worked Sit, Stay & Come.
Oh So Many Distractions:
Dock Square, the Piers & Downtown
Postmen
Poppy & other close friends
Many Puppies & fellow Canine Citizens
The interior of The Bean & Leaf
Many, many well-wishers, meeting her for the first time
Other friends asking about her surgery, well-being & training
Strangers approaching, suddenly, because she is so attractive.
The entire two hours required six commands - TOTAL!!
(Come. Sit. Stay. Leave It. Heel To. That Will Do.)
Followed, of course, with many, heart-felt
Good Girl, Thistle! repetitions.
I, personally, am Sooo Impressed!!
Not just with her intelligence,
but her unending cooperation.
(She's a puppy! No real training!)
My, What a Girl she Is!!
Waiting for Carolyn
Later that day: AFTERNOON REPORT
Yes. WHAT a Girl!!
(now relaxing to her Classical Music - loves it!)
Carolyn & I dearly want you to know
what full & warmed hearts we have
from viewing the "Parade Thistle" site
with the marvelous, spontaneous & enthusiastic replies
that are pouring in to support little Ms. Thistle.
It is a site & an effort of beautiful sentiments,
devotions & work that is so uplifting to experience.
Magnanimous, noble & fantastic
The Airedale Community is so like the Pups themselves -
unequivocally Wonderful.

What a cutie - and smart, too!
