My hairdresser Linda and I talk a lot about plants & flowers as she cuts my hair. During our 11 April appointment, she told me about her orchid collection, and some time later, sent me these photos . . .
Of course, I immediately shared these photos with some friends, saying that maybe I would start growing some orchids. (I was hesitant, as they cost $20 to $30 each, which, if one is just learning, can get quite expensive.) However, a friend here in Florida asked if I wanted the ones she has, as no one is interested in growing them any more and they needed some rehabilitation. DO I???? I can no longer rescue dogs, but plants I can handle. So she sent pictures . . . These look bad, BUT they are still alive and salvageable. These look good; I just have to convince them to flower. I took these photos to Linda at my 23 May appointment, and she gave me some good advice and suggestions. I can't wait to get them and start rehabbing them . . . Wish me luck!
