DAY 3 - 15 SEPTEMBER 2011

Boss Mike had had ribs for lunch on Day 2;
he left the litter in their garbage can.

Ph

Chrissi may have only one eye, but her nose works overtime.
The next morning, she was determined to have leftover ribs for brekkie.

Ph

She was actually standing on her back legs,
but I missed that photo op.

The next floor treatment is in the kitchen . . .

Ph

. . . while the mudding of the underlayment seams in the living room dries . . .

Ph

. . . and Ron sands the mudded seams . . .

Ph

(Looking at those spots shows me I'd better check my lens for some cleaning!)

. . . gluing prep in the hallway . . .

Ph

. . . finishing the kitchen . . .

When I did the dining room clear-out,
I put the chairs out on the curb (they were taken within the hour);
I couldn't find chairs I could use (they have to have casters);
Frank the Plumbing Guy at Lowe's suggested I use desk chairs.
Great idea! These $170 chairs were on sale - delivered free -
at OfficeMax for $99. I bought four; they were delivered the next day . . .
MORE stuff to move and work around!

Ph

A project like this not only makes the house look better and become more saleable,
it also provides an opportunity to clear out STUFF that's not been used in years . . .
a record player & two cassette decks; two boxes of record albums;
three boxes of cassette tapes. Sold the barrister bookcases;
trying to sell the teak room divider/bookcase.
Nostalgia only goes so far, and then it overflows the living space.

DAYS FOUR & FIVE BEGIN (AND END) HERE
