Deb writes: IT IS FINISHED

Lee, Cathy & I left early this morning and headed west to Troy,
which is where we were SUPPOSED
to sleep in a tent on a wet mattress last night.
It added about 15 miles to our trip, but we were all three well-rested.
Five miles into our trip, Lee had a flat tire,
but even that couldn't get us down.

The day didn't start well . . .

All in all, even with the extra miles,
today's ride was a very enjoyable 25 miles
of flat highway with no wind.

This was as close as we could get to the top of the world . . .

. . . which is how we feel, only ten miles from the finish.

Can you imagine the elation we felt when we saw the sign
that said LEAVING KANSAS? It was an amazing feeling.

My mom & sister traveled an hour to meet us at the finish line this morning.
Then we went to a different sister's house to shower and repack the car.
We have safely delivered Cathy to the aireport;
Lee & I are on our way back across the state of Kansas
to meet our sweet granddaughter Meara.

Thanks for your support to National Airedale Rescue.

I have asked Lee & Cathy to shaire their thoughts with you
in the next day or two after they have had a chance to rest.

It is NOT too late to donate to our fundraising efforts.
If you haven't done so, please consider doing so soon.
The bank is always open at National Airedale Rescue
