53 MILES

Deb writes:

Today's leg was 53 miles.
The winds were sustained at 20 mph with gusts over 30.
I've been riding for many years.
I've had my share of crashes and
have even been hit by a tobacco truck once in Kentucky.
Today was the first time I quit riding because I was scared.
We made the decision to cut it a little short and
we promise to make it up later in the week.
We are tired & sunburned.
The winds are worse now and
supposed to be bad again tomorrow.
We will be riding 45 miles into the wind.

Please send us all the Aire zen you can muster,
but please, Gentle Aire. No gusts, please.
