Anna Brown writes in the morning:
It is raining and about 50 degrees. They were able to get their tent put away this morning while it was still dry. Some of the other people on the trip weren't so lucky.
Taken at Holley, New York . . . the first rest stop of the day
Christine wants everyone to know that the path along the canal is very fine cinders. Also, there are many geese who inhabit the area. Fine cinders & goose poop flying off the front wheel of your bike is not fun; it sticks to your legs like glue.
WHERE DO AIREDALES COME FROM?
. . . and in the afternoon:
Christine & Tim rode past acres and acres of cabbage fields and stopped to put the little Airedale mascot in a cabbage and take its picture.
The down side is that Tim had two broken spokes on one wheel, the up side is . . . he was able to keep on rolling. At Pittsford, New York is a bike shop and they are able to fix the spokes. They should be ready to roll on to Nazareth College (the tent city for the night) after they eat lunch. They only have about five or so miles left to go today.
