DAY FIVE: MEET & GREET

Bill, Ann & Woody Mohin had a great time meeting & visiting with Christine & Tim at Ft. Stanwix in Rome, NY. They both look healthy, happy, a little tired, but not quite as soggy as yesterday. We told them Rome is a great place for Italian food, (of course that would be true) and they had excellent meals at the Savoy Restaurant (I think that's the one). We are so proud of them - it hasn't been what you'd call the easiest bike trip, and tomorrow promises to be in the 90's.

Libby Karier writes:

Given that Garry & I are cyclists, I went to the website for the Erie Canal ride that Christine & Tim are doing to get info on the ride. It seems that almost every daily posting about Christine & Tim has mentioned the hills . . . so I started laughing when I got to the last lines of the the official homepage description, to wit:

"Most days, the route follows the canal along level ground. There are a few rolling hills . . . ."
