The pictures are from their getting a first taste of yogurt, their first "food".
They loved it and were squeaking for more!
They'll get this for about another week or so;
then soak Wellness Puppy food in water or mother's milk,
put it in the blender until it's like mush . . .
then they should start to wean themselves from Mom.
This is Charlie weighing in at 19.8 ounces
She is such a great Mom; hardly ever gets a break, so this will be good for her.
Joe is getting her to go outside with him quite a lot . . .
follows him all around the yard no matter what he's doing . . .
pretty cute to see. Joe walks & stops; Holly stops & sits!
She is trying so hard not to be fearful & shy,
but she has that puppymill mentality.
I think with love & patience,
she'll be an absolute awesome dog for someone.
This is Zorro . . . he now weighs 20.2 ounces
The puppies are growling & "attacking" each other now . . .
their little personalities are coming out . . .
they are actually playing with each other.
And oh, they get so vocal about it!
This little bark & the ferocious growls make us just laugh all day!
This is Sash . . . he weighs 19.2 ounces
They are running a little, which is hilarious to see!
Most of them have teeth that have broken through in their little mouths . . .
and their toenails are like little talons!
My partner in crime, other then Joe, is my friend and neighbor, Lisa.
She cut the front toenails on ALL of them when they first came in
(she's way braver then I am), so Mama wouldn't
get scratched when they were nursing.
They go in to be dewormed on Wednesday,
so I asked for free nail trims for them all front and back . . .
wonder if i'll get the free part . . . I hope so . . . .
This is Mitzi weighing in at 19.0 ounces
The laughter here is abundant with all these little ones running around . . .
I am glad I'm getting to experience this . . .
one more item from my "wish list",
and Joe is loving it as much as I am!
But I have to tell you, there sure is a whole lot of
p**ing and p**ping going on
that needs to be picked up & cleaned up!
They are also going to have to be fed six to seven
small meals a day of the dog food . . . every few hours.
Good thing for now that I have no life except for "my babies".
Each morning, Joe brings a puppy into the bed to wake me up . . .
I am greeted with this little fuzzy furry thing licking my face
to pieces with his little puppy breath . . . am I in heaven???
This is McCoy weighing in at 18.2 ounces
This is Molly weighing in at . . . TA-DA . . . 22.2 ounces
Nap time!
