BUDDY LIVES
THE GOOD LIFE

13 AUGUST 2010

Shannon writes:

This is BUDDY!
He goes from breeding mill dog
to time on a boat!!

Jeanne writes:

Buddy is doing great. We all just got home from a week at the cottage and he had a very good time. He seemed to prefer being up north and in the country. He rolled himself into the water once which he didn't like so much.

I guess he is not going to be a hunter of frogs & fish like Hammish. However, he did hunt down the dog food container which we keep on a very low shelf and try to take it down and help himself. Hammish has never paid it any attention.

He likes riding on the pontoon boat and he loves riding in the car.

First day in his Foster Home

We are home now and today he actually barked at something across the street so I think he is beginning to feel comfortable and at home.

Buddy is beginning to walk better on a leash and is getting more comfortable going out in the yard on a tether. He is still timid when you approach him to hook him up and loud noise still sends him scurrying for his pet carrier.

If this is a dream, PLEASE DON'T WAKE ME UP!

He only heads for his crate when he gets scared or spooked, which isn't very often anymore. He still sleeps in it in our bedroom at night, but we leave the door open and has come out in the middle of the night to scratch on the door to go outside. No accidents in the house.

Buddy is a dear, sweet, lovable boy. The neighbor's mom who lives just down the street is looking for a dog and thinks Buddy "is cute and will keep him in mind."

This is the BIGGEST water bowl I've ever seen!

I think Buddy is fairly happy here and we are enjoying his company. It seems to me that Hammish is entirely indifferent to Buddy, but then he knows he is my cutest boy.

Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh . . . zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

We are happy that we decided to foster Buddy!

MARILYN ROYLE:
Wonderful pictures! Looks like everyone had a great time and Buddy started learning the ropes. I am glad to hear that Jeanne's neighbor might consider him. He will be a wonderful dog for someone, and it will be exciting to watch him grow out of his shyness and into his element. Thanks to Jeanne & Gary for helping him make a new start.

Gr

SHELLY SIMINSKI:
So cute! Buddy is adorable and to me he seems to have already found the perfect home . . . wish he could stay with these wonderful foster parents.

Gr

TONI BONNEY:
WOW - he deserves the good life he now has.

Gr

CAIRNDADDY:
