On 14 March, Gayle writes:
Sammie's vet appointment
today was uneventful.
We did confirm that she
is probably blind
in her right eye.

Sammie wows the crowd
with her antics

Her jaw wire is doing fine;
it is clean and the jaw
lined up well.
It's too soon to x-ray;
it may have to remain
wired forever.
Dry eye will exist forever;
guessing she's had
two or more litters,
and she may be spayed
since the scar bud is there,
but that could be a
c-section scar.
The vet feels the best
way to know is to wait
and see if she comes
in season, or do
a sonogram.

We are guessing her age
at eight to nine years.
She has gained weight.
We just spent another $103
for pain & eye meds.

I think that's it, other than she is
happy, healthy & acts much younger
than she is; the hair on her
rump & legs is coming back in.
