SAM CROSSES THE RAINBOW BRIDGE 6 JANUARY 2019

On 21 December 2018, Scott writes: My little boy Samuel spent a good part of the day at the vet. Seems to be OK, but I need to keep an eye on him. On 29 December, Scott tells me: Sam has a brain tumor. Vet has him on steroids which seem to be helping the symptoms. She indicated that some dogs she has treated in the past have lived six months to a year until the seizures become uncontrollable. On 6 January 2019, Scott writes: Sam passed away today. There was a dramatic decline since last week, the seizures were happening every couple of hours. He is definitely in a better place. I am, of course, heartbroken . . . . My heart has broken again. I am so very sorry to read this about dear sweet Sam. May god bless his soul and he now walks with the angels! RIP sweet Sam! MAUREEN SCOTT In Canada: Sammy was a lucky boy - clearly very well-loved. Some animals never ever are able to experience that sort of devotion. DOREEN MUNDIE: Thank you all for seeing the good in this little guy and giving him a chance for more life. I am happy he had a good family to love him till he had to move on; that he had a buddy and a dad to look out for him; and that he had love until the end. MARILYN ROYLE: I'm so sorry for his loss. Rest In Peace, Sam. MARY BING: My thoughts and prayers will be with Scott. You can tell by the picture Sam had a very loving home. Sam will be waiting happily at the Rainbow Bridge for Scott. ALBERT BUYS: Sorry to hear about Sam at the Rainbow Bridge. BETSI GREENE: At least he was given a happy life and a lot of love in the time he had left! PATRICIA YARNOT: Sam was a very special curmudgeon and Scott was the perfect human for him. I know Sam had the very best of care and Scott did what was best for Sam. Rest In Peace, Sam. RAINBOW BRIDGE Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.
