Phineas is making great progress in becoming a member of the Anderson enclave. He understands and exploits the hierarchy: I am in charge of food, water, treats & opening the door. Suzie is in charge of everything else. He understands, for example, that when we go to bed, Suzie chooses her space, he chooses his, and then I get whatever is left over, so long as my body is within nose reach of each other occupant of the bed.
Phineas is nothing if not adaptable. He obviously wants to fit in and is most adept at doing so. In keeping with this, I am very pleased to report that he recognizes that lifting his leg and marking throughout the house is not acceptable. He no longer engages in that behavior. He has learned his lesson. He now goes out with Suzie, follows her about, and, when she squats, he squats . . . and when she pees, he pees. Is he a smart boy, or what?!?!
