Abbie & Nancy Ann play cards . . .
now if only NA had opposable thumbs
to hold her own cards!
Brought her in the house, and she wandered around sniffing EVERYTHING, and then, oh yeah, pee'd on my dining room rug . . . . LOL!! I'm pretty sure I remember cleaning up something from pretty near that spot a time or two before.

She almost wagged her tail at my 14-year-old, but then thought better of it. But she did seem to want to be in the same area as the family as opposed to away from us, so that made us all happy.
Nancy Ann explores her new digs
Right now, she's standing under the table, at my feet, looking out at the world.

And the next day . . .
Her social skills are blowing me away. I never expected her to be as outgoing as she is for a Puppy Mill dog. After she came out of her crate this a.m., and wandered around my office, and did her business, I left the office door open and went to get dressed. She followed me into my bedroom, sniffed around, walked right up to Ted, who was getting his clothes out of the closet, sniffed his feet, and did a partial tail wag.
Of course my dear husband is a sucker for an underdog (pardon the pun) and so was talking baby talk to her, till I walked into the closet . . . .
Right now, she is lying on the couch, watching all the activity. My oldest daughter was home from college this weekend, and getting everything ready to go back again; my middle daughter has the day off school; and my youngest had watched something on TV about juicing, so they were finding my juicer and juicing a bunch of experiments. Nancy Ann just watches with her big brown eyes and those ears flicking this way and that to catch every nuance of what's going on.
When we walk by the couch, we get the little barest of tail wags. My youngest did hand feed her a bit on the couch.
PAM SIMPSON:
Ah, the spirit of these pups NEVER ceases to amaze me. And looks like all of the host puppers are doing a great job of letting the visitors in! I worry about the one left behind, but have to be grateful for all that were successfully saved.
They are a beautiful lot of puppers, I must say!
BOB ANDERSON:
It really is amazing how well they do! Thanks to the love of the foster families!
