NIGHT DIVE . . .

21 MAY 2016

The dive site map for DIVE #3 and the NIGHT DIVE (same place).

INDONESIA

It's best to do a night dive at a place you have seen in the day.
You know the geography of the reef;
easier to stay away from dead ends in the coral
where you can get banged around and cut up.

There were LOTS of NUDIBRANCHES on this trip.
There were also some large rays and sharks,
but MOSTLY it was close up work,
especially for me as my underwater flash stopped working on DIVE #1.
The video light works best at night.
In daytime it's not really strong enough to overcome daylight
which makes a blue cast to most of the shots.

An UNKNOWN Nudibranch,
according to the Reef Critter Guide
on the ship
