ONWARD TO BALI 18 MAY 2016
18 MAY, 3:18 a.m.	Two views from my hotel
Went to the airport early. Got bored of sitting in the hotel. 3:20 a.m.: On the way to the airport Very industrialized route. Like driving around Chicago. 05 You can see the modern streets, elevated highway/monorail and LOTS of SCOOTERS. Glad I did - it was a l o n g walk from the check-in counter to the gate. The ticket counter for C E A . . . I had to ask for directions three times.

No pictures of immigration passport control, which you pass through before you get to the TSA. And no pictures of the TSA. It was mostly manual screening, though, and in China you don't have to remove your shoes. Despite having flown in with batteries yesterday, today they wanted to go through my bag and look at them all, which involved playing catch with my laptop and it fell on the floor. Luckily no harm, no foul; it still fired up after I got down in the gate area to check it out. Aircraft I flew in to Bali . . . Didn't have quite as nice a seat - none of the amenities the previous flight did, but the flight isn't that long either, only about six and one half hours. Now I know why all the Asians wear face masks . . . NO ONE covers a cough or sneeze! Glad I have mine to wear. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS INDONESIA?
