MORE WHALE SHARKS!
|
9 AUGUST
LAST DAY HERE. T-storms and rain forecast here today.
Boat is going out later today; 9 a.m. means I can get breakfast.
Later in the day: Did we see a lot of Whale sharks today?
There were fins to the left, fins to the right -
and I'm stuck in the middle again.
Sometimes the whale sharks are not moving (swimming) and eating,
but hanging almost vertical in the water and gulping in the nutrients.
A better view of the gulping behavior . . .
No rays at all today, but literally HUNDREDS of sharks swimming and eating.
Dinner at Hotel Mia on the beach to watch the sunset at 6:30.
I'm walking there, as it's only a few blocks. Have to get ready soon.
Off early tomorrow after breakfast. Have to catch a ferry back to Cancun City
and then transport from the ferry dock to the airport.
