SMOOCHIE'S
27 SEPTEMBER 2015
|
Violetta writes:
Smoochie's stitches come out tomorrow.
All the swelling is gone and her skin has healed nicely.
She seems very comfortable now that her eye has been removed;
she has resumed her routine & interaction
with the other Cairns in her foster home.
|
Unfortunately the growth
on her spleen was determined
to be Canine Hemangiosarcoma,
which has no cure,
so we do not know
how long she will live.
It may be three months,
six months or even one year.
|
|
In any event, she is now free of the constant pain in her eye
for however long she has left to live, and like all brave Ccairns,
she is making the best of it, demanding and eating her meals with gusto.
HERE
is a link to an article that gives an
easy-to-understand explanation of hemangiosarcoma.
ELAINE & JOHN ALGER:
So glad she is doing so well, but very sad about
the diagnosis. These little guys are here for
so short a time, and then we have to send them
to the angels. Each one breaks one's heart
and takes away a bit of our soul.
We met Smoochie when we went to Violetta's
and she is very sweet. I hope Violetta and her Mom
can enjoy this little one and that she has some peace for a time yet.
BETSI GREENE:
So very very sad to hear her diagnosis,
but at least she will be pain-free for the time she has left.
And will be in caring hands at the end. Thanks for all you do.
MARILYN & JEFF ROYLE
:
I am sorry to hear about this cancer.
I hope Smoochie's strength and spirit will see her through
for many more good days and months with you, Liberty
& your other Cairns. She is an amazing little girl and
you have given her such a good life in your loving home.
Thank you.
DEBRA COMBS:
She's been on my mind lately. Prayers for her comfort and continued love.
