Thank you soooooooooo much for the Chloe Goes Home story and pictures!!!!!!!!!! We love it and will keep it always! It made me cry (again!). Please tell Lisa that the blanket she made sits on our ottoman in the family room which Chloe hops up on when she wants a little rest.
She is all puppy! We love her to death!!!!!!! She has her wild times - especially right after she's been fueled up (fed) - (oh my Lord), but she also has those cute snuggly times. My sister arrived a day after we picked her up so we were a little sidetracked on devoting all our attention to her. However, Carol is gone now and we are back on the total Chloe track. She is my shadow and if I go out a door without her, she does not like it!
We are working on the potty training and I think it will come along much better once Bob gets the yard totally secured. Thus far, I have had to leash her for all time out in the yard, but Bob promised he will finish it tomorrow. If he doesn't, I am hiring someone to do it! (I've spent more time out in my yard in the last week then I have the last two years! HA!)
Another dog! More people! Lemme at 'em!
She gets sidetracked outside. We want her to do her business, but she is so intrigued with people, flags flapping in the breeze, wind chimes, birds, squirrels, other dogs, Santa Clauses, maple tree whirlie birds, twigs, ants, grass, butterflies - so busy - so many new things. She loves the Wire-Haired Fox Terrier in back (Maggie) and the yellow lab (Starla) next door and they both like her. She wants to crawl right into their skin . . . what a hoot!
She can be a sassy girl - barks at me when I give her the 'NO' routine - which is alllllllllll the time - and, yes, as you told me, she is into everything. But . . . the house is dog-friendly, so no big deal. We do close off all bedrooms & bathrooms so we can limit the accidents to just a couple of rooms. The accidents are becoming fewer every day as we learn more about her. I will be looking into obedience training soon, so she can learn that I am the alpha dog . . . right now she thinks she is!! Soooo very cute!!!!! It is just so funny - I try to be stern, but can't keep from laughing!
Oh . . . the toy you sent home with her . . . it's a game every day . . . she hides it (and there is really no good place to hide things in my house). She put it behind the dining room table in the corner by the wall. I found it and put it back into the family room. She then picks it up and finds another place for it. It's a scream. She has now hidden that darn thing a dozen times and each time she has found a different spot for it!
She's a handful, no doubt, but it just takes patience and sense of humor . . . the nonsense will be over tooooo soon! We love love love love love her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's our Chloe Bird!
Please keep in touch and let me know who comes to stay with you next. I am really interested!!
