Next morning, I got everyone up, cleaned out the crates and started the morning feeding. When that was over, I rested for a bit and got ready for Pat & Sherry, CRUSA applicants, to come over with Winnie - a 13th dog in the house - to meet Huey once again. Pat, Sherry & Huey all fell in love, but it wasn't love at first site for Huey & Winnie. Today went much better and they are going to proceed with adopting Huey.

Spring

Toby towers over all the dogs.
It's a good thing he didn't realize
how much bigger he was than all the Cairns
because they terrierized him all weekend long.

Shortly after they left, Mary Mallory (sorry, I forgot to get pictures), who adopted a puppy from CRUSA last year, came to pick up Arthur to take him to his new home to meet his Cairn brother & sister, Charlotte & Billy. Mary will be fostering-to-adopt Arthur and with him, she'll have a nine-week-old Cairn, a one-year-old Cairn & a two-year-old Cairn . . . poor Mary!

Spring

Huey squints in the sunlight in his chair.
He's too good to lounge in the grass
with the rest of the dogs.

Then, we loaded up all the babies in the car and headed to meet Gayle & Bob Kiesow, Shell & Jim Lewis, and Kitty Pope; Shell & Gayle took over as photographers from there.
