SUNNI GOES TO THE VET

1 FEBRUARY 2011

Katie writes:

Sunni is doing just splendid. On Monday, I was able to get her into the vet,
as I suspected she had a little skin infection going on. Sure enough,
I was right and she is now on a course of antibiotics.
The vet suspects it was a result of flea bites,
so hopefully that is the case and there are no other issues with her skin.

I asked him about her leg and he said only way to know for sure
would be to shave her down and look for a scar.
I have poked around and I do suspect her leg was removed.
as the hair grows back a little differently on that side.
She does not have a stump either, and he mentioned the
entire femur is missing, which he said is only removed if they absolutely need to.

She was a perfect angel at the vet, too.
Tomorrow she is supposed to go to be groomed,
but that all depends on if I can get out of the drive
or not due to the Snowpocalypse.

Here are some new pics of Sunni sleeping near my girls. My girls never snuggle with each other, so it was really nice to see her initiate being near them. I even noticed Lucy later getting into one of the dog beds that Sunni was on first. Oh, and of course, Sunni gets to sleep in bed with me at night, too, so needless to say I am enjoying "Three Dog Night" with these little heaters surrounding me.

BOB ANDERSON:
Fleas? Please! How embarrassing . . .
but grooming will lift her spirits!
