UPDATES ON BRIDGET & EDDIE 17-20 JULY 2009

On 17 July, Meredith writes: Eddie had a stomach virus and passed that on to the pack and now he has kennel cough. I took him to the vet yesterday and he was dehydrated, but he wouldn't let them give him subQ fluids. He is so frightened when I take him anywhere other than my house. On that same day, Frances writes: Bridget, on the other hand, is really starting to be more at ease around other people. Men still spook her a bit, but she's warming up to them. She's a sweet, sweet girl! On 20 July, Meredith writes: Eddie is doing better on antibiotics & cough medicine. We moved him to a foster home on Sunday and they report that he is still very frightened, but follows them from room to room. If they make a move to pet him, he skitters away. They are making sure that he has plenty of lap time to convince him that humans are not all bad!He is very sweet when you pick him up; he pretty much melts. Here are some pics after a haircut. He is better than most of our puppy mill dogs, but he has been sicker. I feel sorry for him. He is very sweet.
