On 30 August, Sandy writes: Real progress . . . tonight I called Teddie from the other room and he came running; he recognized his name!! Another cute thing: He's been here long enough that he knows when he hears something strange. That little head pops up, he listens a bit then barks. But it's not really a bark; more of a MURF! Cute.
31 August: So far, Teddie has told me every time when he needs out; he has even gone out in the rain, but he hurries to do his business and get back inside! Such a good boy! 3 September: Teddie loves the pink squirrel and a little game of keep-away. Dog bed? I don't need no steenkin' dog bed! Don't tell ME I can't sit on the furniture! A coat . . . in FLORIDA?? Sure is pretty, tho.
