TEDDY GOES HOME! 25 JUNE 2011
Bob writes: Today Teddy went home. He was adopted by a wonderful, experienced, dog-loving couple from Red Bank, New Jersey, Dawn Merrill & John Bacigalupi. Teddy is the ninth rescue dog Dawn has adopted. Within the past six months, she & John have lost two of their dogs, Scooter & Princess, to cancer. In addition to the couple wanting another dog for themselves, Dawn thought that their surviving dog, a grouchy (in her words) 16-year-old toothless mini dachshund named Buddy, was unhappy over the loss of his companions. When I brought Teddy over for a meet & greet, I arrived a little early and was going to wait in the car in front of the house. But the front door immediately opened, Dawn came running out and positively gushed over Teddy. And while Dawn and I were talking inside, John was playing with & taking pictures of Teddy and mailing them to family members. On adoption day, it was Dawn & John who showed up at my home early.
