The girls are still shy and scared (and spent a good deal of the day sitting next to one another by the fireplace), but you can already see "real dogs" under all that uncertainty. Sue writes: They (Ashley & Kylie) are fabulous; went for a run in the yard when Art & Donna went back to the hotel. The girls ate dinner well and are now together under one of the kitchen chairs. They bonded very well with Donna & Art, who will call in the morning when they are ready to pick up the dogs. I'm going to send along piddle pads (because the girls haven't been here long enough for me to know their habits) and Nutro. Two more successful rescues, thanks to CRUSA!

Now that we're home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in our warm new beds. We'd like to open our baggage Lest we forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret. Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top - Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there our my leads hide Fear and Shame. As we look on these things we tried so hard to leave - We still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. We loved them, the others, the ones who left us, But we weren't good enough - for they didn't want us. Will you add to our baggage? Will you help us unpack? Or will you just look at our things And take us right back? Do you have the time to help us unpack? To put away our baggage, To never re-pack?
