Heather has been adjusting to a life of leisure quite well.
We are greeted in the morning with tail wags & kisses,
as well as frantic circlings of excitment.
Going out and in the patio doors are becoming second nature to her
(no more leaving the doors open for an hour or two in ten-degree weather!),
She is obsessing about her dinosaur toy that honks,
to the point where we had to put it away because she barks & barks
(& barks) at it . . . I don't know why. Other than that,
she is quiet and very laid back.
Unfortunately, some mammary tumors appeared overnight,
so we had a visit with our vet, Dr. Carlisle.
They have to be removed, obviously, and her right knee is quite bad
(although no evidence of pain, yet).
Both procedures can be done at the same time,
thereby avoiding having two doses of anesthetic in a short period of time.
Something in her mouth is bothering her, too,
so that will be looked at while she is under anesthetic.
IF YOU'VE ANY PENNIES LEFT
AFTER HOWLIDAY SHOPPING,
"TINY TIM" HEATHER WOULD 'PRECIATE THEM!
JACKIE McGUINNESS:
I've emptied out my penny jar
And searched the back seat of my car
A dollar spare I hope to find
A Christmas wish I had in mind
For Heather made a little wish
And CRUSA said, "Remember this:
We care for one; we care for all
Spring Summer Xmas and Fall
And Heather's wish will come true
Because of donations from hearts so true."
