HEATHER GETS A NEW RIGHT KNEE (AND IS TUMOR-FREE)! 23 DECEMBER 2013
Heather had her knee repaired and her tumors removed on Monday morning; she came home Tuesday morning. Now that she has become used to freedom, she is back to being restricted to an indoor & an outdoor xpen . . . Reunited with her "baby" She does NOT like having her picture taken! We were able to photograph her stitches . . . On Christmas Day, we were able to see the entire extent of her tummy stitches . . .
Her kneecap was way off alignment and was moved back to its place. The mammary tumors were sent to a lab in Madison for biopsy. Paws crossed they are benign. She has had two laser treatments on each knee so far; the hope is that the left knee can be repaired and never need surgery. Paws crossed that that works, too! She is allowed to be on the couch when one of us is with her; the rest of the time, she is in her indoor xpen in the living room.
