SUZY Q TRAVELS 22 DECEMBER 2010

Amie writes: SUZY Q is staying the night at our house before we take her to Katie in the morning. She's doing really well - really snuggly - and she's already mastered the stairs & the couch, though she wants to jump all the way down the stairs, instead of taking them one at a time. We gave her a little pink frog toy, and she's spent the last couple of hours alternating between licking it, trying to nurse it, and burying it in the couch cushions. We just put her new "puppy" into the crate, and she followed it in without a peep and curled up to sleep, even though she really didn't like being in the crate in the car. I think she's pooped. The next day, Katie writes: She is here and settling in! I have pics of the handoff and will send them tonight with an update for her page. You will have to come meet her, too; she is a doll. Have you ever known a dog to have air under its skin? Aime noticed it in the car today, kinda feels like she has blisters on her back when you rub. I will investigate further tonight. Amie & Alan Conley with SUZY Q It's a Festivus Miracle! SUZY Q made it up to Kenosha today and is settling in just fine. She really does like to be around people and she is stuck next to me right now with her head resting on the bottom of my laptop as I type this. I also have to be careful how quickly I walk about the house because she is usually under my feet trying to trip me! She very clearly has just had puppies, the poor girl, and she is a bit on the skinny side. She is on eye drops & ear drops right now too, but she lets me administer both like a champ! Katie with SUZY Q Introduction to Sugaree & Lucy went well and was uneventful, although Sugaree wanted to steal her baby froggy. She has forgotten about it now and SUZY has it tucked safely in her crate. She seems to like the crate too. I put it in my office this afternoon; she slept in it while I worked. As I finish typing, I really wish there was someone here to get a picture of this. Now Sugaree has affixed herself to my other hip and is resting her head on my hand while I type. On the other end of the couch is Lucy. So here I sit with my couch of dogs & my laptop. This would make a great card.
