I think I'll stay here at Mala Island through Sunday - I have a Monday afternoon flight to Nukulofa on Tongatapu, and a layover until 10:30 a.m., when I start my long journey back home. The food here is good, It has been cool enough to sleep ok at night and I'm not here much during the day - except for Sunday when it's as good a place as any to hang out all day (nothing's open in town anyway).
Did three dives yesterday - the night dive was OUTSTANDING! I saw my first Spanish Dancer other than in a picture or an aquarium, and a very good-sized moray eel and a lobster. I tried taking pictures of the Spanish Dancer & the moray, but my mask was fogging up and I didn't do them justice. My mental camera was working fine, though.
They are pretty dark - the strobe was not angled the best, as Paul the dive guide did not want me using my modeling light - too many lights alarm the animals.
