CATCHIN' UP WITH ROYCE FEBRUARY & JULY 2009

On 18 February, Janet writes: They are doing great so far and they haven't stopped playing. We took them out and Royce met some of his new neighbors. He's already made many friends! You were right; what a beggar he is! We came into the house and he immediately ate ALL of Mickey's food . . . what an appetite he has! He is sooooo cute. My neighbor asked if he wanted a treat and he did his little sitting pretty trick . . . and begged! They all love him already. I really hope that someday you and Joe can come and visit him. We love these dogs!! Royce has had a few accidents, but he's learning; he's such a punkin. The two of them are getting along so well. They genuinely seem to like each other. The only problem we have had is with the food. Mickey is a picky, slow eater, one piece of kibble at a time. Royce gobbles, so Royce is always done first. We are separating their bowls and refereeing . . . it's funny. We are all sleeping together. They play and play and play and then they sleep. Mickey is teaching him all the ropes of living here; all his bad habits. Everything Mickey does, Royce does. He loves Mickey! They run across the house with Mickey chasing Royce and on the way back its Royce chasing Mickey! They are hilarious! I will give him a kiss from you; I know how much you miss him! On 29 July, Janet writes: This is his first swim in the pool. Brother Micky looks on . . . he is Cairn & Pomeranian. Micky hasn't been in the pool yet because he isn't sure he wants to!
