On Thursday, 22 April, I met with my attorney (who happens to be Nancy's son), to give my final financial disclosure and sign the prenuptial papers. The next day, I had PROOF that there is a microphone in his office, too . . . either that, or Cathy & Irving and VetteMan & I are living in parallel universes.

While shopping at Big Lots for items that Christine & Lydia Ross are sending to dog handlers in Iraq, I found these two plate designs, which Chef Paul will be using on the Buffet Table . . . if I can find more. We took too long to decide whether or not to use them, so when I went back to buy more, they were all gone.

A box arrived from Canada, wrapped in plastic with profuse apologies, in English and in French, for the destruction wreaked on it by the Canadian Post Office. It was, of course, marked FRAGILE, so I was very concerned as I carefully unwrapped it, watched by VetteMan and "helped" by Cari, who could smell that this box had come from a house containing dogs.

Whatever was inside was packed tightly, and the inside package itself was wrapped in cute hearts paper. I opened it, and out flew . . . Two Parrots, very hungry for crackers, I'm sure. Aren't they lovely??? They came from Murphy Scott & his family: Maureen, Jim, Angie A. & Pifflesqueak. It is a tile that we will be able to hang (after seeing this, VetteMan & I decided to redo our current house in tropical colors, getting away from the "SouthWest" theme we've had since our line-dancing days), and, if we really do get the chance to move to the Tropics, use as a centerpiece for tile work on a wall. The colors are STUNNING!

I did find more plates in the Racine Big Lots store; ten Parrot Plates, ten Volcano Scene Plates & five Volcano Scene Bowls. And, more decorations. I figure what we don't use, I can bring back. Some of the decorations match the plates, even though they were purchased at different stores.

Things are coming together quite well . . . oh yes, Rehearsal is planned for Wednesday, 19 May, 6:30 p.m., and we will apply for our Marriage License on Tuesday, 27 April, after work.

In our case, we see ourselves driving a 1993 Polo Green Corvette to the ice cream shoppe for a Cookie Dough Ice Cream Cone (for me) & Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cone (for VetteMan), in Chocolate-Dipped Waffle Cones; with gas at $2.00/gallon, we have to get our treats in town!

After writing out the URL for this site several times for various people, I realized it would be easier to hand out an Andréa & Neal's Wedding Website Card, so I quickly made some for us. Thank doG for Apple computers!

Frank Griffiths, our bartender, is originally from Australia; he'll lend authenticity to this event, since we traveled there in 1995 (and would love to go back, maybe even to live for a while . . .).
