For several days, I couldn't open Mary Lynn's gift 'cause the ribbons were so pretty!
"All right, Cari; I'm opening the card as fast as I can!"
Rico gets a closer look; Cari says, "The heck with the card, let's start on the package!"
Rico gets a little more comfortable . . . and a little closer.
Once I've removed the ribbons (to be used somehow at the ceremony), I let Cari have at the paper.
Rico has never shown much interest in package- opening, but this package seems to intrigue him. Or he is just interested 'cause Cari is.
Cari puts her entire body into this project . . .
. . . although I'm sure she's disappointed to find NO DOG TREATS inside!
Now that all the work has been done, April mosies over to see what all the fuss is about. Actually, she comes over to SNIFF what all the fuss is about, as she really can't see much.
Rico, a bit slow on the uptake as usual, decides that maybe he'd like the tissue paper. Cari has lost interest and wandered away to other adventures.
This beautiful bird is difficult to photograph to show its full dimension . . .
