(INSTRUMENTAL VERSION)

Today, Friday 21 May, is the day before The Day. I went to work as usual, then left at 11:30 a.m., taking a half unpaid personal day as a Wedding Gift to myself.

MATRON OF HONOUR Nancy had arranged that she would have a pedicure, we would lunch together, and then both go back to the hair salon for my pedicure. Which we did, except that Nancy left her wallet at home (so, which one of us is nervous about The Event?).

I paid the last of the Florist bill and took a peek at the pocket flowers & my bouquet - wonderful! We also ordered a flower arrangement to be sent to VetteMan's Mother and another to be sent to my parents tomorrow, as a way to include them in our Special Day, even though they could not actually be with us.

We have been having horrendous thunderstorms for the past few days; in fact, there is one booming over us as I write this. The dogs are going crazy; I can only hope for a calm day tomorrow, or Rico will be BARKBARKBARKing through the entire ceremony, convinced he has to chase away the thunderboomers. The only weather prediction I can believe is that it will be bright & sunny inside the Clubhouse tomorrow!

Chris called this evening to say that he will have to finish the rings tonight and bring them to us tomorrow, wherever we are at the time he is finished. I have visions of him running down the aisle, ponytail streaming in the breeze, yelling, "HERE THEY ARE!" We shall see what happens . . . no use stressing out about it 'cause you can't rush Art. Or Chris, either.

VetteMan is out tonight with the staff of his school, as is usual on Friday nights. Mary Brabender stopped at the house to give me two little "friend-who-is-getting-married" gifts. Everything we have to do is finished.

It seems that it was just yesterday that VetteMan started this all by proposing . . . and now The Day is upon us.
