THE RECEIVING GROUP

Ph

The Receiving Line becomes a Receiving Group as everyone walks around to talk to others, while the food tables and chairs are being set up by JEFF & his Workers, FRANK & PAUL. l. to r.: McKinley Computer Lab Manager DEBBIE KALISH; Southport Elementary Principal TIM MILLER; VETTEMAN; Reuther Teacher CHARLOTTE CALHOUN's hat; McKinley Secretary KATHY & RON KAZIN; McKinley Principal SHARON MILLER

Ph

l. to r.: McKinley Library Secretary BARB EWINGS; JACKIE SMITH; McKinley Math/Social Studies Teacher VAL LUDLOW; Retired McKinley Secretary LINDA LITTIKEN, who wins the longest-distance-traveled prize as she came up from Georgia; McKinley Assistant Principal PAM FISCHER

Ph

Inside, Retired KUSD Program Support Teacher MARILYN OLIAK admires my new rings, while Retired Stocker Elementary School Principal KEN OLIAK thinks, "She shoulda picked the Vette!" Visible in between them is Reuther Special Ed Teacher LUCI BAKER

Ph

Claiming a table while waiting for the buffet are (l. to r): TIM MILLER; MIKE & McKinley Secretary WENDY STENHOLT; NANCY SOMDAHL. In the background are DWAYNE PINON; BOB ANDERSON; SHARON SHELTON; NANCY KAYE; Retired Reuther English Teacher RON STORY; JERRY LITTIKEN; Friends and Former Neighbors JANET & MIKE HENTHORN

At this point of The Wedding, RING BEARERS Cari & Rico were to go into one of the two crates we had set up for them - one in the Clubhouse hallway and one in Nancy's garage . . . however, they behaved SO WELL that we kept them with us during the entire Reception! They were calm, even with almost 100 strangers surrounding them and Jimmy Buffett music playing quite loudly.

Whenever I stopped to chat with a guest, Cari would sit and Rico would lie down and catch a few ZZZZZ's . . . they told me when they had to go outside, and when I handed them over to one of the guests for a while, they didn't panic; just waited patiently 'til I came back. They were a delight, and added to our enjoyment of The Day.

As my new MIL likes to say: If you can't behave at home, for goodness sakes, behave out in public!
