Court Commissioner Anthony Milisauskas has agreed to perform the ceremony at twelve noon; the Open House/Reception will be from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., or until everyone goes home, whichever comes last.
The invitations are almost ready and will be sent out during the first week of April. I am working on a Program of sorts for the ceremony ("Cast of Characters", I call it).
We have yet to find a florist who will do something "tropical"; I have a lead on a florist shop to visit, which happens to be two blocks away from the shop that is designing our rings. (I've already walked out of one floral shop in which the staff was too busy chatting to be interested in my business. I have little patience for that kind of treatment.)
AmyMarie Fornelli has some great ideas for a cake, however, since she lives across the country from us, we will have to find someone closer to home.
The Processional will be Love in the Library, by Jimmy Buffett (for obvious reasons); the Recessional will be Just the Two of Us, by Grover Washington, "our song" for the past 22 years.
VetteMan is thinking of making an iMovie of pictures from our past 22 years to show at the Reception, although that's still in the "should I or shouldn't I?" stage. There really isn't room for a television in addition to the CD player we'll be using to play JB, steel drum, and other Caribbean-style music, as there certainly isn't room for a band, either!
We have to contract with a photographer/videographer; we've already purchased a dozen 27-shot disposable cameras to distribute on the tables during the Reception for guests to take pictures. Each camera will have this label on it.
