THE WEDDING CLOTHES
At the suggestion of both JEFF & CHUCK, I stopped at a store in Beautiful DownTown Kenosha that is known for its eccentric items . . . sure enough, Bjorn's carries beautiful "Tropical Shirts"
On 27 March, The Members of the Wedding Party met at Danny's Café for breakfast. BOB & NANCY then went to Pier One for an errand, while VETTEMAN & I stopped at Stein's before all meeting downtown at Bjorn's . . .

. . . and look at the beautiful Parrot Centerpiece we found there! For only 20 bucks; I used a Christmas gift certificate from MARY BRABENDER. I don't yet know how we will use it, but I'm sure we'll find a place for it.

We came back together at Bjorn's where CHUCK joined us, and went inside to wreak havoc on the store/museum while trying to find our "Wedding Garb". These shirts from Pacific Legend are what we decided on . . .
|
Red, the Chinese good luck color,
for the BRIDE & GROOM . . .
|
. . . yellow for the MATRON OF HONOUR,
BEST MAN & DOG HANDLER
|
NANCY, having experienced weddings as both Mother of The Bride & Mother of The Groom, reminded me that the BRIDE is to stand out from the crowd, usually by wearing all white, but as we've violated several traditions already, what's one more, so VETTEMAN & I will be wearing matching shirts. I will make a concession to tradition, however, by wearing a white shirt & slacks.

Because the shirts cost much less than we had anticipated, we also bought everyone a t-shirt from Caribbean Soul. VETTEMAN & I will have to order ours from their website. This is the one we picked out, in a mint green for the members of The Wedding Party.

I had the idea to made a CD as a momento of The Wedding, along with these personalized CD covers. This will be a fun project!
