As cold as it looks, it really isn't so. the temps are hovering around the freezing point, which makes for heavy, sticky snow . . . . . . which Daisy discovered while making paths through the yard for the other dogs. (I must admit I use them, too!) A member of CRUSA suggested the . . . ['scuse the interruption - Cari REFUSED to move 'til I took a picture of her, too.] . . . "dip-the-dog-in-warm-water" method . . . . . . of melting snowballs. It is painful to pull them off, . . . . . . but Daisy gets very cold if I leave them, and she tries to eat them off. Did you notice that Daisy is standing on her two useless back legs? She will never be able to walk with them, but she can, and does, often stand on them. A bright note to remind us that spring & summer ARE coming . . .
