As cold as it looks, it really isn't so.

the temps are hovering around the freezing point,

which makes for heavy, sticky snow . . .

through the yard for the other dogs.

. . . of melting snowballs. It is painful to pull them off, . . .

. . . but Daisy gets very cold if I leave them,
and she tries to eat them off.

Did you notice that Daisy is standing on her two
useless back legs? She will never be able
to walk with them, but she can, and does,
often stand on them.
