The Sorraghans' hill
Through the blackened landscape you can just see the hill where the home of Old Iron Park Airedales used to be. Anne & Ron are rebuilding immediately; already the fences are up so the Airedales can come home. The building you
can just see is the Airedales' kennels, all that remained after the fires
swept through.
The Yarra Valley
I took this photo of our valley on my way back home after the working bee for the Sorraghans at St. Andrews.
Wombat Bend lies directly below that high point (called Mt St Leonard, where we often walk the As) on the skyline range, in the next layer of hills down, where it looks brown and black (hmm, Airedale colors?).
Yarra Glen, if you could see it, lies just to the right of the photo. Dixons Creek, where we actually live, doesn't rate a mention on the maps, or hardly ever.
Down the road to Wombat Bend
Watch out for the yellow sign at the bottom of the road . . .
Around the bend
. . . at least the wombat sign was not burnt.
