On Thursday night, I received a phone call LATE; it was our 24-hour emergency clinic. They had a male Cairn that was hit by a car; the young man who hit him brought him into the clinic. Thus, the clinic called me.
I went to the clinic and sure enough, he's a Cairn, about two years old. Jesse S. was a nervous wreck and kept apologizing. I thanked him for stopping and bringing the dog to the clinic, telling him that most people wouldn't have done that. I wanted to name him after Jesse, but after looking at him while everyone was outta the room, I realized, "He looks just like Yoda". So, Yoda he is.
I started petting him and his little head just kept sinking into my hand and he was so relaxed. He had a broken leg and he even had buckshot in his little body where someone had shot him at one time. I saw the buckshot on the x-rays; boy, was I MAD!
Anyway, he's doing well after surgery but I NEED A FOSTER home for him to recover in. He needs to be crated and leash walked. I really shouldn't be keeping him with me since I have the puppies. If anyone can foster him - LET ME KNOW!
Another thing is that I'm going to ask for donations to help pay for Yoda's vet bill; I'm not sure how much that is yet. I already have $15.00; Jesse left $15.00 to go toward his care. He wished it could have been more, he said.
HELP ME GET WELL YOU WILL?
