As I wrote previously, we have no kidney values baseline
so after a month on a low-protein diet,
several supplements and some exercise,
she went again for a urine and blood test.
We are awaiting results as of 1 March.
Depending on these results,
she may have a blood pressure check and/or
a urine protein-creatinine ratio test.
One piece of good news is that Zoe has lost 4/10 of a pound of weight;
not much, I realize, but it's a beginning.
She isn't overweight, as such, but needs to build a bit of muscle.
Her leg no longer drags as much as it did a month ago,
What I thought was a mammary tumor is, more likely.
a repaired hernia or from her spay,
as it is located immediately over suture material.
I will be watching this for any changes in size or texture.
Her teeth are tartared and she really should have a dental,
which can be performed if her kidney values are improved.
If we cannot perform a dental, Dr. Hathaway suggested
"pulse antibiotic therapy" to keep bacteria
from further damaging Zoe's heart, etc.
Dr. Hathaway did note that,
'Overall, Zoe looks good today!
She seems in better spirits today as well!'
